The Brand Strategy Initiative is currently in the Brand Concept Phase. 


June - RFP issued for institution branding and marketing services

August  - Two finalists presented to RFP committee in open forum

Sept. 4 - Contract awarded to 160over90

Sept. 8 - Agency presentation made to Board of Regents Finance and Facilities Committee

Sept. 11 - Presentation at Board of Regents meeting

Sept. 14 - Marketing and Communication Advisory Council kick off meeting

Sept. 18 - Discover Phase begins with research and marketing asset collection and review

Oct. 12 - 160over90 team visits campus for Branding Discovery interviews and focus groups

Nov. 10 - 160over90 presents Brand Strategy to steering committee

Dec. 16 - 160over90 presents brand concepts to steering committee for selection


Jan. 21 - Brand Strategy Rollout to entire University community, including brand workshops for marketing and communication professionals

March 2 - UCAM presents first Brand Workshop to marketing and communication professionals

March 11 - Visual Identity Committee meets to discuss UNM logos and marks

June - UCAM presents Brand Initiative update to Board of Regents

Sept. 29 - Silent Lights student homecoming event includes five-story projection of brand video

Nov. 18 - Promotional Video "Unexpected on Purpose" premieres

Dec. 5 - Brand student event Silent Lights is named "Best UNM Event" in The Daily Lobo, Lo Mejor 2016 Students' Choice Awards


Feb. 25 - "Unexpected on Purpose" and Silent Lights receive gold awards from the American Advertising Federation New Mexico 

Feb. 27 - "Unexpected on Purpose" is recognized as Video of the Year by Kira Awards.

March 15 - "Unexpected on Purpose", Undergraduate Viewbook and Silent Lights receive gold CASE district awards
